The tables below list and describe SEDRIS environmental data sets._ These data sets are available free of charge from SEDRIS for unrestricted use and redistribution.

This transmittal source data was downloaded from the Lake Tahoe Data Clearinghouse. A unique 10-meter terrain/bathymetric surface was generated integrating data from several sources. The STF is a 10-meter digital elevation model (DEM) over a 32 km by 83 km area. Both polygonal and gridded data sets are provided in the download.

This transmittal is a high-resolution data set that represents Range 400 (sited in a box canyon) at the US Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) in the Mojave Desert at Twentynine Palms, California. The primary data source is a 1-meter digital elevation model (DEM) and associated orthophoto generated from large-scale aerial photography. Both polygonal and gridded data sets are provided in the download.

This transmittal is a moderate-resolution terrain data base contained within the spatial extent of the low-resolution Oceanside terrain data base. The Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton data set draws on the same 25-meter grid composite surface as the Oceanside terrain data base. Both polygonal and gridded data sets are provided in the download.

This transmittal is a low-resolution terrain data base in southern California suitable for use with meteorological and atmospheric data from the Master Environmental Library (MEL). Oceanside covers most of a 1-degree by 1-degree area just north of San Diego that includes MCB Camp Pendleton. The STF is approximately 87 km by 107 km in size. Both polygonal and gridded data sets are provided in the download.

Master Environmental Library (MEL)

MEL is a wide area network-based data discovery and retrieval system that provides access to geographically-distributed oceanographic, meteorological, terrain, and near-space information and data. It is sponsored by the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO) to provide real time, historical, climatological and scenario-based information for modeling, simulations, mission planning, etc.

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)

The USGS, a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Interior, provides reliable scientific data to, among others, describe and understand the Earth; and manage water, biological, energy and mineral resources. As such, the USGS is another source of environmental data.
